Ministerial Roundtable - Jordan

In cooperation with the Ministry of Investment Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the ABCC is pleased to announce that it will be holding a business roundtable meeting with Her Excellency, Ms Kholoud M. Saqqaf, Jordan's Minister for Investment, at its Mayfair premises on 30th April 2024.

During the meeting, the Minister will deliver an opening presentation concerning the opportunities for investing in the Kingdom and lead the discussion with the participation of invited executives from the UK's IT, technology and other sectors.

Jordan's Ministry of Investment was established only relatively recently in 2021 as legal successor to the Investment Commission and is a strategic leader in attracting investment into the country.

Jordan's economy is renowned for its openness, stability, innovation and offers an attractive business friendly environment to investors. The Kingdom has achieved steady average growth of 2.5% over the past decade and continues to show remarkable resilience in the face of regional and global crises.

Jordan and the UK enjoy excellent bilateral relations in all fields and trade in particular is on an upward trend. Latest data from the Department for International Trade shows that total trade in goods and services (exports plus imports) between the two countries stood at £1.2 billion in the four quarters to end Q3 2023, which represents an increase of 36.7% or £309 million on 2022.

This high-level ministerial business roundtable will enable UK investors to find out about the latest economic developments in Jordan and the scope for deepening bilateral partnerships.
