UK-GCC Negotiations Towards a Free Trade Agreement – Business Briefing & Update
Following the ABCC's active role in informing exporters and investors of the proposed Free Trade Agreement (FTA). FTA negotiations between the UK and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) have now been launched. Building upon our close ties, the UK-GCC FTA is expected to further strengthen bilateral economic relations and our strategic partnership. We are delighted to host a briefing on the UK-GCC FTA negotiations with the Department of International Trade. Our Key Speaker is Mr Tom Wintle, Chief Negotiator – UK-GCC FTA, Department for International Trade. Tom will return to the ABCC to talk about the UK's approach to negotiating an ambitious, comprehensive and modern agreement fit for the 21st century. The discussion will focus on what the FTA negotiations will mean for business and the opportunities that an agreement will open up across different sectors.
The formal presentation will be followed by a Q&A.
Followed by the ABCC Summer Reception
The discussion will be immediately proceeded by the ABCC Summer Reception when we will be joined by our valued members, diplomats, senior executives, leaders of the Chamber and others active in UK-Arab business at various levels. The occasion will be an ideal opportunity for guests to meet and socialise in the informal setting of the Chamber's terrace and reception area.
