The Arab British Chamber of Commerce is delighted to announce that it will host a business briefing on the prospective UK-GCC Free Trade Agreement on which formal negotiations are soon to begin.
The special event will be held at the Chamber's premises on Thursday 19th May starting at 11:00am. This meeting is organised with the support and cooperation of the Department for International Trade.
Our key speaker will be Mr Tom Wintle, who has been appointed the Department for International Trade's Chief Negotiator in the forthcoming talks with GCC representatives. Mr Wintle will brief the meeting on what to expect from the talks and how the FTA will strengthen prospects for the UK-GCC trading relationship with a particular focus on services.
The ABCC was pleased to encourage its members to participate in the consultation process with British business which concluded in January 2022. The responses are currently being assessed by the government.
The UK and GCC agreed to work rapidly towards reaching an agreement that will re-energise the strategic UK-GCC relationship and boost trade.
The formal discussion/Q&A will be followed by a reception and networking.
We invite you to register for this exclusive event.
