Mr. Khaled Osaily assumed his responsibilities as a Minister of National Economy in April 2019. He also chairs the Palestinian Investment Promotion and Industrial Estate Agency (IPIEA) and the Palestine Standards Institute (PSI).
Mr. Osaily who is holding a degree in Business Administration obtained in 1970, is a pioneer businessman, a private sector leader and well known for his visionary thinking and successful initiatives. He served on the Board of Directors of a number of companies including the Gaza Power Generating Company (GPGC). He also serves as Vice Chairman of the Arab Palestinian Investment Company (APIC) that represents a diversified portfolio of investment companies. Moreover, he was the Chairman of Osaily General Trading and Contracting Company as well as of the National Aluminum and Profile Company (NAPCO). Mr. Khaled Osaily is a board member at many Public Sector authorities.
As a socially responsible leader and supporter of the Public Good, Osaily held a number of public positions. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Palestinian Monetary Authority from 2002 to 2005. Back in 1976, Osaily was elected as the youngest member of Hebron’s Municipal Council. He then served as Deputy Mayor till 2003.
In April 2007, Mr. Mahmoud Abbas, President of Palestine, placed his trust in Khaled Osaily by appointing him as Mayor of Hebron, attesting to his skills and ability to lead the largest city in the West Bank. Since then, as a dedicated leader, Osaily has been a driver for change in Hebron Municipality till October 2012.
As a well-known person in the private sector on the National level Mr. Osaily was elected as a member of the board of trustees’ at Palestine Economic Policy Research Institute (MAS) in 2015.
For his contributions in supporting the high education system Mr. Osaily is a Board of Trustees’ member at the Middle East University in Jordan since 2012 and a Board of Trustees’ Member of Al Quds University in Jerusalem.
Ambassador Husam S. Zomlot is the Head of the Palestinian Mission to the United Kingdom.
Prior to his appointment to the UK, Dr. Zomlot served as Strategic Affairs Advisor to the Palestinian president and Ambassador to the United States (Head of the PLO General Delegation to the United States).
Dr Zomlot’s previous official roles include serving as ambassador–at-large for the Palestinian Presidency, Director of the Fatah Foreign Relations Commission and First Counsellor at the Palestinian Mission to the United Kingdom.
Dr Zomlot held several academic positions in the past. He worked as a professor of Public Policy at Birzeit University, where he co-founded and chaired the Birzeit School of Government. He held a number of teaching and research positions at Harvard University and the University of London. His professional experience includes working as an economist at the United Nations and economic researcher with the London School of Economics and the Palestine Policy Research Institute.
Dr Zomlot holds a PhD in economics from the University of London. He is married and has two children.
Mr Bandar Ali Reda joined the Arab British Chamber of Commerce, on 1st March 2019, as Secretary General and CEO, becoming the fourth person to lead the Chamber since its foundation almost five decades ago.
As CEO, Mr Reda contributes his expertise by drawing on his wealth of experience as a diplomat and extensive time spent in the private sector to ensure the Chamber moves to the next level.
Mr Reda has a distinguished professional career of more than a decade in banking and corporate industry at SABB HSBC Saudi Arabia, prior to senior positions in the diplomatic service of his country, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he served as Commercial Attaché in the UK & Europe, based in London, and in Italy and as part of the Saudi delegation to the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) in Paris.
Mr Reda holds a BA in Economics and Business Administration from Orlando, USA. He has been an Executive Member of the Saudi-Italian Business Council, the Council of Saudi Chambers; a Member of the Business Youth Committee, Jeddah Chamber of Commerce; a Member of the Saudi Economy Association; and a Member of the Saudi Arabian legal accountants. Mr Reda has demonstrated his experience and abilities in his roles in both public and private sectors.
Since taking up his post, Mr Reda has successfully steered the Chamber throughout the difficult months of the pandemic and lockdown, a period which presented unprecedented challenges for international trade and the business community. Under Mr Bandar Reda’s guidance and leadership, the Chamber not only continued all its activities uninterrupted but extended its services during this period and has reinforced its reputation as the leading strategic business services organisation in the UK dedicated to strengthening Arab-British trade and building closer business co-operation.
Mr Feras Nasr is the Innovation Manager for the UK Palestinian Tech Hub, an initiative of the British Consulate General in Jerusalem. Since the Tech Hub's initiation, he has worked to support Palestinian start-ups and tech companies seeking to expand to international markets in general, and to the UK in specific. His work includes mentoring start-ups and companies and promoting the Palestinian tech sector.
Mr Nasr is a technology management professional with a diverse background working in various industries in the US, Canada, and the Middle East. His experience includes working with start-ups, corporates, academia, and non-governmental organizations. In addition to his technical background, his expertise includes team organisation and business process optimisation.
Mr Nasr holds an MBA in the Management of Technology from Toronto Metropolitan University in Canada, a Masters degree in Computer Engineering from Wayne State University in the USA, and a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from Birzeit University in Palestine.
